Caerhays Castle and Gardens

The Caerhays estate on the south coast of Cornwall is home to one of the finest spring gardens in Britain — particularly the magnolia and camellia collections amassed by J.C. Williams, the plantsman who sponsored plant hunters in China and Tibet at the turn of the twentieth century. The castellated John Nash-designed house provides a dramatic backdrop, particularly when the magnolias are in full bloom.
