A dramatic granite ridge rising above the mining towns of Redruth and Camborne, Carn Brea carries five thousand years of human history. A Neolithic hillfort, a medieval castle (now a restaurant), and a monument to Sir Francis Basset occupy the summit, while the views extend from St Michael's Mount to Newquay. Paths wind between fantastical granite outcrops weathered into strange forms.
