About Godolphin House

A fascinating Tudor and Stuart mansion set in ancient orchards and gardens on the edge of the western moors, Godolphin was the ancestral home of the Earls of Godolphin — one of Cornwall's most powerful families. The house is part ruin and part habitable interior, giving visitors an unusually honest encounter with architectural history. The atmosphere is more genuine than many grander country houses.
