About Tehidy Country Park

Two hundred acres of ancient woodland, lakes and ornamental grounds surrounding the former estate of the Basset family — the great mining dynasty whose wealth built much of west Cornwall. The lakes and streams are colonised by kingfishers, while red squirrels have been reintroduced to the woodlands. A remarkably tranquil escape from the busy coastal resorts nearby.
