About Gweek
Gweek is a small Cornish village and civil parish about three miles (5 km) east of Helston. Formed in 1986 from part of Constantine, its name was first recorded as Gwyk in 1358 and comes from the Cornish gwig, meaning “forest village,” related to Welsh gwig and Old Breton guic.
