St Blazey

St Blazey is a Cornish town and civil parish in the South West of England (postcode district PL24). The parish stretches to a short section of coast on St Austell Bay and embraces the western parts of Par, including Par Harbour. To the north‑west of the built‑up area lie rural landscapes, the hamlet of Bodelva and the Eden Project, which occupies a former quarry. The western edge of the town is known as St Blazey Gate. At the 2021 census the parish recorded a population of 6,932. With coast, harbour and an extraordinary visitor attraction on its doorstep, St Blazey sits quietly between industrial heritage and reclaimed natural space, offering a compact base for exploring this corner of Cornwall.
