About Tregony
Tregony is a small Cornish village tucked on the east bank of the River Fal, six miles east of Truro in the TR2 district. Once a civil parish in its own right, Tregony was merged in 2021 with neighbouring Cuby to form the new parish of Tregony with Cuby. The Fal was historically navigable as far as a port at Tregony, a reminder of the village’s link to the river. Today the settlement retains a quietly lived-in charm: a shop with post office facilities caters to everyday needs, the Kings Arms pub provides a convivial local gathering place, and a sports and social club underscores community life. There are also two churches in the village, marking its enduring local traditions. Tregony offers a compact, welcoming slice of Cornwall where river history, parish identity and simple village amenities sit side by side.
